when you gonna make up your mind?
c a u s e t h i n g s a r e g o n n a c h a n g e s o f a s t
Music played overhead as people crowded the all ready overcrowded, and overrated mall. Yes, this was one place she loathed, surprisingly.. A mall, a mall squirming with people.. People made Loren uncomfortable. The girl had work today which was the only reason she had come to this godforsaken place, yes.. She worked at Journey's, a lovely shoe store that catered mostly to alternative things. They weren't just shoes either. They had tees, hoodies, totebags, and accessories. An amazing store that actually played decent music. The girl loved it so, and she actually enjoyed the company of her coworkers. They were all pretty nice, most of them were potheads though, that was the only thing that agitated her. People passed by her with haste, faces blurring together to make this constant stream of color.
The girl made no attempt to try and focus on a face, because all tries would be futile. So the girl just stopped at the coffee shoppe and ordered a hot chocolate. Yeahhh she hated coffee, so, why not settle for something with chocolate-ie goodness? Exactly. Dooo ittt. Heading down the corridor littered with shops, some large, some hole in the walls-- And there was Journey's. The girl could tell by the large sign, and the glass walls, on the other side were shoes. Everything from Converse, to Emus, to DC's, Vans and Osiris. Yeah, not to mention they had some pretty nice pumps-- Not like Loren would honestly wear them. This was Loren, not Lexie. As she headed in 3OH!3 blared on the surround speakers, what song? Chokechain. A smirk played her lips as she headed to the back and checked in. Everything had been restocked last night so now.. It was just a matter of helping people when they needed it. A girl with about four facial piercings walked up to her, without a doubt her manager. If you asked Loren what Mercedes was talking about, she'd shrug but as of right now she was nodding to whatever her superior said.
Manicured nails pulled the gray hood of her Roxy hoodie enough so it covered the back of her head. Her hair, and pretty face were visible.. It wasn't covered to far that it hid that. Mainly because, her glasses would probably never allow it. It was Friday evening.. Too early to go to shows, and late enough that school kids were out. A lot of them had homework, but, any smart person would've gotten that done in study.. Or maybe Loren was just a nerd. In either case, even more people started to fill the mall. Closing her eyes, she exhaled and tapped her nails against the glass showcase. People always frightened her, her friends didn't understand it.. Especially Lexie, but it was hard for her to really explain it in depth.
As people seemed to walk by, the day seemed like it would nto end.
Ah another day in Loren Tremens' life.
