(I WAS LONLEY NOW YOU MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE)(WILL YOU BE MINE TONIGHT) ..................................................... (Lexie). finally finished a long nights shift. It was Saturday morning and the sun had just come up. Since it was the weekend Lexie worked all night, she often works all night shifts on Friday and Saturday nights. She got paid double so she tended to take advantage of that. Lexie went back stage and started to get all of her things together so she could leave. That was when she heard some of the stage hands talking. ... then she said she heard someone was getting a major promotion! one said, ya i think i heard someone say that. Wonder who it is! After Lexie changed out of her work clothes, even though she wasn’t a performer she had to dress up for work, she waved goodbye and started heading out, until she heard someone calling her name. She looked to see Colleen, the club manager, waving at her to come to her office. Lexie follow the order and went into the office. Lexie you have been working here for almost a year and you have been more dedicated then some people that have worked here for five years Colleen told her, I feel like you deserve this more then anyone. That was when it finally hit Lexie; she was the one getting the promotion. Lexie was a little taken back. She had only been there for ten months, and she never guessed to be the one getting the promotion. She thanked Colleen more then she should have. Turned out she got a permanent position as the stage manager. Colleen was still going to manage the club but to Lexie’s surprise Colleen had to leave for a while on maternity leave. After thanking Colleen again and again and giving her a hug Lexie headed out. Saying bye to Bruno after telling him the news. Bruno was a bouncer and one of the people that had worked at the club for a few years. He was happy for her, and on top of being super tired Lexie left feeling really happy.
Last night she only worked her DJ spot but that was fine for Lexie, she was so tired from that week. She had two big papers due on Friday along with a exam. Not the most relaxed week she has ever had. Most people thought that she was just good at school, but she worked really hard. She didn’t feel like going home quite yet. And she defiantly didn’t want to take the bus. She gave Rae a call but he was still at the office. It seemed that he had a long night as well. But he still had a hour of work or so to do. So Lexie walked about a block to a cafe on the corner. It was called Zoey’s, it was named after the owners daughter. It had just opened about thirty minutes ago, so there was only a couple people there getting a head start on the day. Lexie often went to that cafe after or sometimes before work. There was a middle aged couple that ran the shop, and Lexie had gotten to know them quite well. She walked up to the counter and the wife, Sandy, was working the register. With in a couple minutes before her coffee was ready. Thanks Sandy Lexie said with a smile as she paid and took her usual seat in a booth to the side of the shop. She took a seat and grabbed her book, but not before grabbing her phone and texting Loren and Garr telling them about her promotion. After sending out the oh so exciting texts she took a sip of her coffee and started to read her book.

• • I’ll Be Your Crying Shoulder • •• • I’ll Be The Greatest Fan Of Your Life • • He had left the club after a night of dancing, and simply listening to music. Good God he could feel his ears popping, but he grinned brightly. He was used to the club scene. The loud, blaring music, the flashing strobe lights that could easily create a seizure and even the floor vibrated. He loved it. Loved all of it to pieces. He was not much of a party boy, but it was a place he enjoyed. It was his home away from home, but no place could replace Massachusetts. Scott exhaled into the nippy air, and walked calmly towards Zoey’s. He needed coffee in his system before he went back home. He drew his black coat tighter around him once more, studying the sun slowly beginning to rise. His blue eyes taking it all in, absorbing every last piece of it before he entered the coffee place. He stood outside, smiling at the people who walked in, and often holding the door open. Scott enjoyed watching everything happen before him, instead of ignoring the small things that brought a smile to his face. All of it ended too soon as his cell phone vibrated in his dark blue jean pocket. He glanced down curiously before withdrawing it. He gazed at the screen, and bit down on his lower lip before answering.
”Hello?” He asked, his Massachusetts accent sticking out clear as day. ”Where are you?” Came the reply from his brother, Matt. Scott sighed, looking around him as if he had no clue where he was. He was just buying himself some time. ”I am in front of Zoey’s Shack, Matt.” Scott answered, and he heard an exasperated sigh on the other end. ”Mom is freaking out. Thought you would be back before the sun came up.” ”I told mom I’d be home a little later than usual.” ”Scotty… Why the hell didn’t you bring your car with you? You know how me and mom feel when you’re walking alone on the streets.” Scott exhaled, shaking his head. ”Yes, and I understand that, but I can take care of myself. You out of all people should be used to me leaving in the middle of the night. You know I need to walk to clear my mind, or even if I simply go somewhere.” ”I know, Scotty. We worry about you a lot. Come home soon, alright? Ok. Bye.” The voice of Matt had gotten softer, and before Scott could answer the line went dead. He shook his head clear, but smiled anyways. He knew Matt had the best intentions in mind, and he was just like a worried parent. Scott finally walked inside, lifting his head to study the inside of this place.
The people were few and far between, seeing as Zoey’s had practically just opened. He smiled at everyone, and recognized a girl he had seen from on the bus the other night. He walked with lengthy strides over to the counter, waiting in a small line. The wait did not last long, and Scott ordered the usual. ”I’ll have a French vanilla latte, Sally.” He stated with a smile, and Sally brought his order up to him quickly. ”I had a feeling you were coming in, hon. It’s been a while since I last saw you. Enjoy.” Scott smiled at her kindly. The smile reached his eyes, glimmering with it. His eyes usually smiled with him, and if they never did, then you knew his smile was false. ”Thanks, Sally. I’ll be sure to come here more often.” He laughed quietly with her, and paid her before turning on his heel to let the next person in line order. He stood up towards the front, taking a sip of his latte before debating on where to sit. He walked casually up to the girl sitting in a booth on the side of the place. Sure there were numerous places to sit, but he wanted to converse with other people like usual. ”Hi. If you’re not waiting for anybody, can I sit here with you?” Scott asked, politely, and tried to get eye contact with her. It was always a habit to look into the eyes of the person he was talking to. He grew up used to looking people in the eye. It was a small quirk about him. Scott remained standing, studying the girl with a gentle smile on his face.

(I WAS LONLEY NOW YOU MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE)(WILL YOU BE MINE TONIGHT) ..................................................... (Lexie). At Zoey's Sally and Randy had a small cat, named Ccino, that there daughter got, since they lived over top of the cafe the cat treated the cafe as home as well. Most people didn’t mind the cat walking around. It didn’t go in the kitchen, but it made its rounds saying high to the customers and occasionally sitting on a lap or two. Lexie loved cats more then dogs even, maybe that’s why she had a Pomeranian, they looked a bit like cats. She wanted a cat but Rae was allergic. But she loved her little Tizzy. And she settled with Ccino for now. Today Ccino was cuddlier then ever. Ccino was a calico cat, with black, brown, white and a bit of orange. She was covered head to paw with splashes of the different colours. It made Lexie think of autumn time with all the different coloured leaves. Ccino jumped up on Lexie’s lap and simmered down for a nap. Lexie calmly stroked her back; Lexie could feel her vibrating as she purred. Ccino was almost a year old, so she wasn’t a small kitten but she wasn’t quite full grown. She was thin and the perfect size to sit comfortable on your lap without making your legs fall asleep. Lexie loved stroking Ccino as she read, it was very relaxing.
Lexie was really starting to relax, with Ccino purring softly and her coffee warming her from the inside out it was a good feeling. She was also getting into her book. It was a romance novel. Lexie loved romance books, whether they are set in modern times or the medieval era. She loved the thought of meeting someone and knowing right away that they are your soul mate. That they are the one that you are met to spend the rest of your life with. The though of finding her true love in this crazy and messed up world and being truly happy made her warm inside, but not in the way the coffee did, it made her soul warm. Lexie didn’t like letting it known that she was into the whole mushy romance stuff, but come on, she was a girl. Its like programmed into there minds! She was reading a modern romance at that moment. It was a book she picked up the other day from a used book store in town, where she got most of her library. She kept her romance books hidden in a shelf in her closet, knowing that if Garr saw them she wouldn’t hear the end of it. She wasn’t the most feminine girl in town. The book was about a vampire boy, named Isaac, that came from Italy to a small town in America, where he met a normal girl, named Sophie, and they fell madly in love with each other, and about there struggle to be together despite their differences. And eventually his past catches up with him and she gets pulled into it, so now he has to protect her. It made Lexie melt thinking of someone felling that strongly about her that he would put his life on the line to protect her.
Lexie was at a really intense part of the book where Isaac’s evil brother had kidnapped Sophie and was trying to make her fall in love with him instead and now Isaac and his brother were is a fight over Sophie. It was all so intense and so romantic, and Lexie was really getting into it when a soft, smooth voice broke her trance. She looked up to see the blonde cutie she saw from the bus, and then again at the club standing in front of her. No she said quickly, i mean no im not waiting for anyone, not 'no' you cant... she stopped herself quickly ...have a seat she smiled and pointed to the seat across from her in her booth. She stuck the bookmark in the page she stopped at and put it down before taking another sip of her coffee. Are you following me or something? she asked, this is the third time I've seen you with in a twenty-four hour time span. She raised one eyebrow, set her elbows on the table and rested her head on top of her hands.

• • I’ll Be Your Crying Shoulder • •• • I’ll Be The Greatest Fan Of Your Life • • Scott stood, shifting his weight from side to side comfortably. He spotted Ccino, and smiled down at the small cat. He was not very fond of cats, but he could put up with Ccino whenever she decided to crawl into his lap. Hey, the cat was cute, but Scott much preferred his array of dogs he had back home. There was Tucker, the German Shepherd, Simba the Siberian Husky, and then there was Babe the Doberman Pinsher. Scott’s smile had broadened as he remembered when he first found Babe. She was about a year old, and a stray. Skittish, but Scott had gained her trust through a few days. Babe had followed him home one day, and obediently sat at his side when he rang the doorbell. His mom had answered, and she shook her head, a little frustrated. ”Scotty… We can’t take in another dog.” Scott had begged and pleaded with her. He had explained that she was a stray, and when he had found her she was skinny. Babe had licked his mom’s hand, and Scott knew she had won his mother over. Babe took to sleeping in his room, sometimes occupying his bed when he was sleeping, or even when he left home. Babe was over-protective of him, and often growled at the smallest things. He loved that dog much like the rest, but she was special.
Scott smiled at the thought, and stared calmly at Lexie. She seemed engrossed with her a book, but he did not say anything afterwards. In fact, he was feeling a little guilty about interrupting her reading. Especially seeing as she was more than likely in a good part of the book. Oh, well.. What’s done is done, and he could not rewind time, and sit by himself. Hell, he was worried that she would think of him as a stalker. He was far from it, but he had seen her about three times. Or was it four? He did not know. It was not every day he counted the times he bumped into somebody. He let his shoulders roll casually. It was a habit he had after working out to roll out his shoulders so the muscles weren’t so tense. He took a sip of his latte quietly, not minding how hot it was. He was colder, and he was silently praying to himself that spring would just randomly come along. Or maybe summer. He could not wait until summer where he could wear shorts, and a t-shirt if he so decided to do so. Then he could go to the beach and get tan again. He was looking forward to the upcoming seasons that he could not contain his excitement. Suddenly, his attention was diverted back to the girl as she spoke. No, I mean no I’m not waiting for anyone, not 'no' you can’t...have a seat .” Slowly, he sat down, studying her calmly. She seemed a bit caught off guard, and a little tongue tied. Scott still smiled, not really minding that.
”Thanks.” Scott said as he settled into the seat. He had pushed back so he could allow leg to rest on the knee of his other leg. He pressed his back into the chair, allowing it to be on two legs. This was his comfortable position in a chair. His dark blue eyes studied her politely before gazing back at his latte. One, somewhat medium sized hand gripped the container. He moved it in a circle so its contents would swirl inside. He gazed at the book she was reading with minimal curiosity, but before he could speak, she had beaten him to it. Are you following me or something? This is the third time I've seen you with in a twenty-four hour time span. Ah, crap.. His worst nightmare. She did think that he was following her. The word “following” was a just a nicer way of saying “Are you stalking me?” His brows furrowed somewhat, and his smile had faltered a bit. ”No.. I’m definitely not following you. I come here sometimes after a long night.. I need the caffeine rush before I head home.” Scott’s gaze turned over to Sandy who had moved. When people moved it often distracted him, but he looked back over at Lexie when Sandy smiled at him. He returned it, and lifted his free hand to his chin. His fingers traced it carefully, and he exhaled quietly into the warm air. He stood suddenly at that point, shrugging out of his jacket, and placing it on the back of his chair. His black shirt clung to his body in a bit of a tight way. It showed off his muscular form, and he returned to his position before. His hand still traced his chin. ”I’m Scott.” He stated out of the blue with his Massachusetts accent boldly sticking out, and he smiled warmly at her.

(I WAS LONLEY NOW YOU MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE)(WILL YOU BE MINE TONIGHT) ..................................................... (Lexie). watched her non-stalker sit down across from her with curious eyes. she didn’t notice but she had stopped stroking Ccino, and she started to growl. Not a full on lioness growl but a cute kitty under the radar growl. In an instant Lexie’s hand started sliding back down Ccino’s back. She looked at Scott, my name is Alexandrea, but everyone calls me Lexie for short. She gave a smile to him before taking a sip of her coffee. So do you think it is a coincidence that we happen to be on the same bus, then you were in my club, and now you have come into the same coffee shop moments after I sat down she questioned him. She was good at the whole asking questions thing of the top of your head, really fast thing. Her brother, Rae, always bugged her about becoming a lawyer herself. But she was more into her art to become a lawyer.
She ran her fingers along the mouth of her coffee cup, while playing with the stir stick that was sticking out of the top. She like Zoey’s because they didn’t waste paper with cups. They used nice mugs, not like people that came here were often in a hurry. Lexie wasn’t a green freak but she liked to think she did her part to help mother earth in her battle against the humans. She liked to think if things like a comic book, even though she didn’t make that little fact well known. All of the mugs at Zoey’s were hand made and each one different, Lexie liked seeing which one she would get. Her mug today was a clay one, like the rest, but it was white and around the top was a purple ring, going all the way around the mouth of the cup. Then around the bottom was a green vine that spun in different ways around the cup with little purple flowers on it. It was pretty and cute, and Lexie loved it. She loved flowers and she loved purple, it was a perfect fit. She took another sip before letting her eye focus back onto Scott. She hadn’t noticed it before then, but as she looked at him now she noticed how deep blue is eyes were. Lexie figured since she was always sneaking glances at him that she never really got a good look. But now that they were facing each other and so close at that, she was able to really see. They were so deep that she thought she would drown in them.
