(I WAS LONLEY NOW YOU MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE)(WILL YOU BE MINE TONIGHT) ..................................................... (Lexie). was beyond tired after having such a long day of classes. Not only did she have her usual day classes, which consisted of law, math, biology and English. Sadly this semester was one of her harder ones and since its senior year she has to work that much harder. Not like she doesn’t ever try. Growing up she always did good in school, because her mom wanted her to be able to do whatever she wanted to with her future. Her mom would come home after work and help her with her homework. After her mother died she still continued with her homework schedule. She tried even harder then when she did with her mom. Lexie didn’t want what her mom did for her to go in vein. Sadly she wasn’t as driven to continue on in such academic future life styles as her brother. Lexie’s older brother Rae, short for Raemond, took after their grandfather when it came to the business. Rae was always interested in the law and helping people, so being a defense lawyer was a perfect fit. Lexie however like the arts more then the court. She loved sketching and designing. Along with music.
Lexie just wanted to be a designer; it wasn’t until recently that she started to get more involved into music. She played guitar and a bit of drums growing up, but fell in love a couple years ago with playing piano. She loved all the different sounds and effects you can do with a piano now a days. She also took up singing. It was during the summer and she had gotten a job at a local night club, being a DJ. They had a little time before they opened and some of the staff were goofing around with the mics on the stage, a little private karaoke. Lexie had only been working there a few months but everyone loved her, and she made tons of friends. She was the youngest employee in the club and so a lot of them thought of her as a little sister. She loved it there, people from all over came and she even met some celebs passing through.
Lexie was finishing up a design in her sketch book, when she looked at the clock on the wall of the art room and saw that it was late. Just then she heard a voice from behind her nice use of patterns, Lexie turned around and saw her art teacher looking over her shoulder. Thank you Mrs. Shepher Lexie replied. Once Mrs. Shepher walked away Lexie closed her sketch book and started to pack up her stuff. She headed down the hall ways towards the schools theatre. There was still an hour until band practice but Lexie thought she would get some pre-practice in before everyone showed up. She pushed through the double swinging doors leading into the auditorium. She walked down the main aisle that lead to the stage, and tossed her bag and sketch pad into a seat in the first row. She hopped up on the stage and walked into the back storage room. She grabbed the mics and cords, and started to set it up. She got lots of practice setting up at the club. After plugging everything up she took her piano out of the back. It wasn’t the newest style but it wasn’t an old model either. It was just right. She plugged it in and played a little melody before placing it in front of the mic stand at the front of the stage.
As Lexie stood in front of the mic she closed her eyes and when she opened them the theatre was dark and a spot light was shinning on her. All she heard around her was people cheering some even cheering her name. She looked down and saw her hands resting on the black and white keys of brand new Casio electric piano. Lexie took a deep breathe just as the drummer behind her started to count of the beats with his drum sticks. And as if someone else was controlling her body Lexie started to sing. She knew the song; it was one she was working on. But it wasn’t close to being finished. She just let it out though. She loved the felling of being front and center on the stage instead of being in the back somewhere. She loved the sound of the crowd cheering her name. Once the song was over Lexie saw everyone in the crowd stand up and cheer, even louder then before. She took a bow and when she stood up straight everything was gone and she was alone in the theatre. Or at least she thought she was. In the front row she saw a figure sitting, and clapping.

·LIKE A BAD MOVIE I'LL DROP A LINE· ,, FALL IN THE GRAVE I'VE BEEN DIGGING MYSELF
"too many thoughts, too many people. garrett had been longing for some peace of mind since well yesterday. it wasn't like anything depressing was going on with his life or anything, hell he basically had everything he could want or need, and if there was anything or anyone new, he would quickly sort through the 'merchandise'. garrett bit his bottom lip as he looked around the crowded hallways. too much giggling, too many freshman. though he wouldn't lie, they were quite easy. he shook his head when he noticed a short blond twirl her hair and blow a big pink bubble, she was clad in a short white mini skirt, showing most of her legs, not that garrett was complaining. but he just couldn't stand those type of girls, such... such, naive girlyness, and that was definately not something on his tolerance list. seems like the school was full of girls like that. his thoughts reflected to some of his female friends, one stuck out in particular, lexie. she wasn't like anybody else, definately no pink nailpolish or cheerleading squad for her. that was probably they got a long so well. garrett smiled when he thought back to the time he bitched and bitched about preppy rich girls, and just to get on his nerves, lexie shows up the next day looking like a clone of one of them. that was the kind of relationship they had, close but casual. he felt completely at ease with her. garrett didn't have to worry about what she would think, or even the next line he should dropped to convince her to head back to his place with him. it wasn't like that. though admitting it, he had thought about lexie occasionally in slightly vulgar ways, but nothing he wanted to act upon. they had such a wonderful friendship.
chemistry. garrett sighed, that was suppose to be his next destination. but he wasn't in the mood to sit in class again. in fact he felt like just skipping the rest of the day. school has never been a priority to garrett, though he manages to pass every grade level... even if it is just barely. it wasn't like school was difficult, he just didn't find it particularly interesting. though the impending future hung over his shoulder constantly, garrett just didn't feel the necessity to pursue a future for himself. and plus he knew where his one and only future lied... music. he first picked up a guitar at age of fourteen, it was the result of too much birthday money and no where to spend it. he was browsing around and just happen to run across a used guitar and fell in love with it immediately. he swapped his $300 for it, and spend night and day practicing. he hasn't put down that guitar since. but now his new 'baby' would be the pink guitar his friends bought him as joke for his seventeenth birthday.
finally garrett decided skipping would be the healthy choice. after making a quick stop at his locker and throwing the lame excuss for textbooks in there, he grabbed his hoodie and a notebook and headed over to the theatre. that was the one place where no one would be at. since band practice was way later, he didn't have to worry about anyone catching him. garrett swung open the heavy metal doors and took a seat near the front. he settle his body confortably down into the seat and took out his notebook, and flipped to a half written page. he was working on a new song, although he didn't have his guitar with him, he could still pull a few things out of air.
garrett held his breath when he heard somebody enter. he lowered his body down into the seat more, as if to hide himself. he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw it was only lexie.. good old lexie. he was about to get up and say hi to her, when he the sweet sound of music filled his ears. his motions froze as he listened to the beautiful vibrations from the piano and lexi's voice. garrett listened through the entire song before clapped at the very end. it was then that he got up from his seat and made his way over to lexie and the piano. (I WAS LONLEY NOW YOU MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE)(WILL YOU BE MINE TONIGHT) ..................................................... (Lexie). was nothing short of shocked to hear clapping and from the front row stepped her best mate Garrett, or Garrbear as she liked to call him. Lexie had a flood of emotions hit her all at once. Pretty much everything from embarrassment, happiness, anger and whatever else was in the mix. She was embarrassed because she had never sung in front of anyone before, not even Rae. She was always the harmony and the back up. Since she thought she was alone she didn’t hold back but now that she knew she was being watched she kinda wish she did. Even if it was only Garry. She still felt a little embarrassed and she felt the heat flow into her cheeks, she never got embarrassed easy. Usually she was the one goofing around and letting herself be noticed by the world. But maybe it was because singing wasn’t one of the things she had made public yet about herself. She felt happy to see Garrett, she felt a lot better thinking it was him that was listening instead of a total stranger, not that Garr wasn’t strange. ok Lexie said with a sigh as she lifted her arms in a ‘bring it on’ gesture, lets get this over with. She put her hands on her hip and raised her eyebrows at Garr waiting for what silly little remarks he had cooking up in his head. She did just not only sing but she sung a song that wasn’t finished. Leaving room for some errors.
In waiting for a reply Lexie started to move her piano back just in front of the drum set. It wasn’t the best place for the piano to be set up but sadly with the schools small little stage it was all that fit. Lexie hated how egotistical their school was. All major funding went to… you ready for it… the helmet heads, and the air-head squad a.k.a the football team and cheerleaders. Typical that there was next to nothing left for the music or art departments in the school. Even though they out numbered any amount of sports teams in the school. When Lexie was finished setting the piano up where it was suppose to be she sat down randomly in the middle of the stage. Leaning back on her hands that were stretched behind her back, propping her up, she stretched her legs out in front of her. what are you doing here anyways? she asked Garr with a puzzled look, don’t you have class, you do know what that is right? Where you go and learn.
Lexie often got to leave class early due to her always finishing her work early. She didn’t do it for extra attention. It was just since her mom used to help her with her work she got a little bit ahead. So she finished and often got bored. So she would leave. The teachers just got used to it. Sometimes she would have a whole block of spare, so she often went to the art room or the theatre. Garr, however, wasn’t the best of students. They often did their homework together, nothing out of the ordinary, but Lexie knew that Garr often got in trouble of not doing the work, unless they did it together. She still didn’t know how he passed some classes, not saying she wasn’t happy he did. At least now they would graduate together. And they were even looking at the same art college. They weren’t separating any time soon.

·LIKE A BAD MOVIE I'LL DROP A LINE· ,, FALL IN THE GRAVE I'VE BEEN DIGGING MYSELF
a smile spread across garrett's face... the genuine kind too, not the kind he flashes to make a girl go weak in the knees, but the sincere smile made only for a sincere friend. he was smiling because he caught the evident blushing of lexie's cheeks, meaning she was embarrassed that he had heard her. garrett wasn't exactly surprised at lexie's talent, he had never personally heard her sing before, but he had the feeling she would be good. she was always good at everything and made life seem so effortless. she had such a bright future, garrett reflected back to the time they went for a college visit a little south of Lillyton, she seemed so set on both of them attending after graduation. but garrett wasn't so sure. it wasn't that he didn't want to go, he more than anything wanted to be spending time with lexie, but he didn't think he could get in. of course the musical aspect of it was probably no problem, but there was still a little academic requirement, and that meant garrett would have to put forth a little more effort to cut it. but then again, if it meant him and lexie would be separated then guess the work will have to be worth it. their friendship was too amazing, and he wasn't ready to let it go yet. it also helps the fact that they now do homework together, actually it was more like, lexie does homework while garrett eats cereal and babbles on about everything, occasionally jotting a few answers down.
"what are you doing here anyways?" garrett heard lexie speak to him, "don’t you have class, you do know what that is right? Where you go and learn." garrett chuckled, it was just like them to tease back and forth. he tugged at the bottom of his shirt, nervous habit. why was it he was all of a suddenly nervous around her, maybe it was just the vulnerability. he evidently caught her at a wrong time, and her the same with him. since considering garrett was in the middle of writing his song. a song he wasn't quite sure about what, or even who to be exact, but the song spoke from his heart. a genuine emotion very rare for garrett boston. he cleared his throat before announcing to lexie: "actually, i just needed some quiet time. i didn't know you were going to be here, sorry i interrupted." he let his voice fade out as he took a couple more steps and made his way onto the stage. to be honest this kind of stage gave him stage fright, and this came from a frequently performing musician. but on hte other hand, the places garrett plays at are usually very loud, crowded and the people are usually intoxicated or about to be. silence wasn't something garrett enjoyed, but silence was what was all around him, silence was what was between him and lexie, for garrett could not think of a single thing to say. for the first time in his life, garrett was speechless.
"just a sec, i'll be right back." without knowing what else to do, garrett headed backstage for the extra makeshift guitar in the storage room. if garretts mouth wasn't working, then they might as well just play something together. garrett turned around and looked at lexie and smiled again. her soft brown hair laid freely around her shoulders and her boyish accented clothing made lexie well.. lexie. her beauty was incredible... why hadn't he noticed before? i mean he of coursed noticed, but not notice notice. but he was noticing now. "you're amazing lexie" garrett added quietly before shutting the backstage door behind him. he wasn't sure if lexie even heard him. STATUS; fini MUSIC; the beach - all time low WORDS;six two six CREDITS; SAFA ! of caution 2.0 for the template !
