you're a legend in this room,
only in this room
Victoria wasn't particularly in the mood to really go out and start something tonight, so she decided to go to Bill's place. She had nothing better to do, surprisingly. She felt kin of lame laying around on a Saturday, though it was her normal chill day. She finished watching The Invisible, one of her favorite movies, and headed to Bill's. Actually, she had a ton of advanced placement English homework to do. She should have been reading Othello, but she wasn't quite in the mood. Othello wasn't as exciting as her outside world.
She walked into the Starbucks to hear some younger teenager's voices that she didn't recognize. Must be new or visiting. Vicky knew a wide array of people, so it seemed odd for her not to know someone. She stepped to the counter and ordered herself an iced caramel latte. She was kind of hot, and she wasn't even wearing that much black today. She took her coffee and smiled at the cashier. He smiled, like she was missing out on a joke. He was cute, so she'd listen to any joke he told. She handed him three dollars. She always had too many dollar bills with her. It made her feel like a hooker. Everyone was always joking her about that, because she didn't have a job anyhow. But who needs one when you've got parents?
She sat down at a booth and put the over sized Abercrombie purse her mother sent her on the table with her coffee. She internally debated whether to take out her cliff notes on Othello or her notebook on the story she was working on. She ended up drinking some of her coffee and pulling out her cliff notes, hoping Nick didn't walk in. He was always getting on her about her schoolwork. Stupid over protective ness of older brothers. Wasn't her fault she had to live in a house full of guys. If it was her choice, she might even still be in Florida, though probably just living with Nick. She didn't really like the North, and even after being here some odd number of years around four, she hadn't gotten used to it. She opened the book to where she had left off before and sat her phone on the table. Thankfully English wasn't as hard to get into as Math.
